The Communications Associate Role

Key Responsibilities

- Content Creation & Storytelling: Drafting social media posts, blogs, newsletters, press releases, and human-interest stories to highlight the programmes’ achievements and amplify the voices of beneficiaries.
- Graphic Design & Multimedia: Producing infographics, pamphlets, presentations, and other visually appealing content aligned with UNDP and UNCDF branding.
- Social Media Management: Running programme social media accounts, scheduling posts, tracking analytics, and boosting engagement with diverse audiences.
- Event Support: Assisting in the planning and promotion of workshops, outreach events, and awareness campaigns, while ensuring strong community participation.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ensuring all communications respect Pacific cultural values and traditions, adapting messaging to resonate with local audiences.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience: At least six months of relevant professional or volunteer experience in communications, media, or development work.

- Languages: Fluency in English is highly desirable.
