New UNDP Opportunity: Project Coordination Associate 2025 (Open To All Applicants)

The advertised role supports the “Support to Education Sector in East Jerusalem – Phase II / Education to Employment (E2E)” project, funded by the Government of Norway. Key Responsibilities

As a Project Coordination Associate, the selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Project Manager and provide critical support in the following areas:

  1. Project Coordination and Implementation
    • Assist in daily management, monitoring, and delivery of project activities.
    • Conduct field visits, attend training sessions, and identify gaps in implementation.
    • Ensure gender mainstreaming and compliance with UNDP’s Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfers (HACT) and regulations.
  2. Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build strong partnerships with government officials, private sector actors, NGOs, and local communities.
    • Actively engage women and youth in project activities.
    • Strengthen the technical capacity of implementing partners and foster collaboration.
  3. Data Collection and Analysis
    • Monitor progress against benchmarks and assess risks.
    • Support drafting of proposals, reports, and evaluation documents.
    • Capture lessons learned, best practices, and success stories.
  4. Communication and Visibility
    • Work with partners and UNDP’s communication team to develop visibility materials.
    • Ensure compliance with donor branding and reporting requirements.
    • Highlight project milestones and human-impact stories.

The role is highly field-oriented, requiring regular engagement with schools, communities, and partner organizations.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following educational and professional experience requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, International Relations, Education, or related field, with 4 years of relevant experience; OR
  • Secondary education with 7 years of relevant experience.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in coordinating development projects with government bodies, NGOs, or civil society organizations.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office and database management.
  • Experience with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the local Palestinian context.

Additional desirable qualifications include:

  • Previous experience with the UN or other international organizations.
  • Experience in social development, education, or business administration projects.
  • Ability to travel within Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Language requirements: Fluency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
